About
Ivy describes herself as a cat-person - she is always overwhelmed by the details of a space. Ivy says 'every tiny detail speaks to me, catches my eys, fills me up with tons of information, shakes all my cells to dance out their stories. I can’t ignore them.'
Therefore, site-specific dance has become one of the major focuses in Ivy's works.
Work available to tour
QuanQuan
QuanQuan (means circling) is a site-specfic dance performance in cáfe cum bookstore. Inspired by the location, performers move through the conceptual space with interpretative movements. By letting scents act as guides, and incorporating ordinary objects as dance partners, the work invites audience to complete the journey and hope to discover joy from the smallest things together.
QuanQuan toured to Beijing, HK, Tallinn, Stockholm and was well received:
“…Lively…providing a wonderful interactive opportunity for everyone to be a part of the performance.”
– Dance Journal, HK
QuanQuan has won Stockholm Fringe Awards 2018 - PICK OF THE FRINGE, which elevates a project that embodies the spirit of the festival!
